Resources
The purpose of the work of the Resources & Audit Committee is to assist the decision making of the Trust Board, by enabling more detailed consideration to be given to the best means of fulfilling the Trust Board’s responsibility to ensure sound management of the Trust’s finances and resources, including proper planning, monitoring and probity. It also assists the decision-making processes of the Trust Board, by enabling more detailed consideration of any matters relating to premises occupied for the purposes of the schools within the Trust. It also provides assurances to the Trust Board that risks are being adequately identified and managed by reviewing the risks to internal financial control and agreeing a programme of work to address and provide assurance on those risks. It also ensures that systems are in place to comply with the Academy Trust Handbook.
